NOFX brought the curtain down on four decades of punk mayhem this weekend, as they played their final shows at Berth 46 in Los Angeles. Changing setlist for each gig, California's pharaohs of punk took a varied, often fast and usually silly journey through their massive catalogue, accompanied by a crew of mates including Rancid's Tim Armstrong, Bad Religion's Brett Gurewitz and Foo Fighters' Chris Shiflett. As they finished up on Sunday night (October 6), it ended in typically chaotic fashion, doing The Decline with a host of guests, with Pennywise guitarist Fletcher Dragge smashing the band's instruments. Frontman Fat Mike recently insisted that this would be it for NOFX, with no future reunions ever to happen. A promise such behaviour will help to keep... Before that smashey ending, they turned up to suck live one final time...

Don't Forget To Leave
Tim Landers, a prolific songwriter and founding member of the emo/pop-punk band TRANSIT, struggled. He fought battles, often privately, with substance misuse and his own mental health needs. "Don’t Forget To Leave" paints a poignant portrait of Landers, from his early success up until the posthumous release of Weathervane by his band Cold Collective. His story is chronicled through archival footage and interviews with members of A Loss For Words, The Story So Far, Frank Turner, Man Overboard, Transit and Cold Collective, family members and mental health professionals.

The Seekers: Live in The UK
Four months after the sold-out success of The Seekers’ Golden Jubilee ‘Farewell’ Tour of Australia in late 2013, the group and their team reconvened to do it all again in the United Kingdom in 2014, winding their way through Wales, Scotland and England with a 15-date sold-out tour. When Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley took to the stage for the last time, the audience was on its feet clapping and cheering for several minutes before they even sang a note. Far from any sense of sadness or regret, the mood on this tour was one of celebration and appreciation, both for the group and their loyal fans. "Dope, Hookers and Pavement" is a lively and unfiltered account of the early days of the Detroit hardcore punk scene, circa 1981-82, in the notorious Cass Corridor, arguably one of the worst neighbourhoods in the city at the time. Featuring over 70 in-depth interviews — including John Brannon (Negative Approach), Tesco Vee (Meatmen, Touch and Go), Ian MacKaye (Minor Threat, Dischord Records), pro skater Bill Danforth, scene kids, and members of the Necros, The Fix, Violent Apathy and Bored Youth — and never-before-seen Super8 footage of the Freezer, "Dope, Hookers and Pavement" is both hilarious and reflective, and an overdue record of a nearly invisible but magic little moment in the long history of Detroit rock'n'roll.
