Faroe Islands

Featuring the voiceover of Sir Anthony Hopkins, this public information film from the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society starts out rather innocently with beautiful hand-painted animation. It describes how once a year a large group of pilot whales swim to a small group of islands known as the Faroe Islands.

百合星人ナオコサン

Naoko-san is an alien from the planet Yuri, who is plotting to conquer the Earth by yurifying it. Misuzu is a junior high girl and is always troubled by Naoko-san, who lives on the roof of her house. They hear rumors that a molester is wandering around in the area, so they decide to investigate.

He’s so weak that he collapses in front of a store window. The store’s owner, an elderly man, comes to the man’s aid and offers him a job. His new job requires him to spend all day sitting and keeping watch on the small room at the end of a corridor.

The carefree attitude of the youngsters as they fly their kites and radio-controlled planes in the open air is undermined by composer Harry Robinson's electronic soundtrack, which pulsates with menace throughout.

Rabbit Ears - The Boy Who Drew Cats

This is the story of a small Japanese boy whose only interest is drawing pictures of cats...even while everyone else in the village is struggling to defeat a mysterious demon that plagues the countryside. Although first seen as entirely useless, it is the boy's peculiar talent that ultimately restores prosperity to the land. This haunting and enchanting folktale about finding your place in the world resonates with deep respect for and appreciation of Japanese culture.

One of the moralities of the trio of authors Milos Macourek, Adolf Born and Jaroslav Doubrava. It deals with the topic of implacability of human optimism and fantasy. In a sad manner it tells us a humorous story of a man living double life: one of a beaten little clerk, humiliated by his arrogant boss, imperious wife and misbehaved descendant; the other of a spoiled hero of a dream empire full of beautiful and tender women, flowers and fantastic figures. From artistic point of view is the film based on Adolf Born's lithographs.

He made a purchase and received a receipt. Robert explained that he was now Rob's pet and from now on Rob should provide him with a roof over his head, feed him, and make sure he doesn’t get bored. The robot and man started living together…
