In the summer of 2018, an unlikely group of citizens each took a stand against the systems that refused to acknowledge the global warming crisis. REBELLION reveals the moments that sparked a global movement. From 15-year-old Greta Thunberg's “School Strike for Climate” outside of the Swedish parliament, to Academy Award winning actress and activist Jane Fonda's multiple arrests following her participation in some of the biggest climate change protests in US history, the people’s resistance has been fierce. Through the streets of Delhi, and up the steps of Congress, REBELLION is the story of a generation marching in revolt.

After their arrest, the state forces them to play themselves in a film which reconstitutes the crime and the investigation. At the end of their trial, filmed live, they are sentenced to death and executed. except the women, Monica Sevianu that due to the fact that she had 2 children she was punished to do hard work for life.

Cheikh El Hasnaoui, de la maison blanche à l'océan bleu

Cheikh El-Hasnaoui is an Algerian singer who left his country in 1937 without ever setting foot there again. Between 1939 and 1968 he composed most of his repertoire in France. For many years the Algerian cafes of Paris were the stages of his shows. With a handful of artists of his generation, he laid the foundations of modern Algerian song. A fervent defender of women's rights, he claims, as a pioneer, the fight for identity for a plural Algeria. At the end of the Sixties, he ended his artistic career. On July 6, 2002 he died in Saint-Pierre de la Réunion, where he is buried to this day. This 80-minute documentary follows in the footsteps of this extraordinary character. There was no freedom, no choice in the shops, salaries were low and they could not travel except to Eastern Europe. They wanted to go to a prosperous and free West Germany but they could not get passports, so they hoped that by travelling through Hungary, the least suppressed country of the Soviet Block, they could cross the Iron Curtain into Austria and then travel on into West Germany. In the film, disability is not only seen as symptoms on individual bodies, but as social, physical, and temporal relationships.
