A Curious Life

Borne out of the anarcho-squatting free-festival scene of the eighties the Levellers have survived over 25 years of music press vitriol, drink and drug addictions as well as many barren years in the wilderness. But the band had seven consecutive gold albums throughout the 90s, sold out their own festival for the last ten years and run their own creative centre, the Metway. Via the eccentric artist, archivist, whiskey loving bassist Jeremy Cunningham we are taken on a journey; how the band rose to fame and how they survived. A potted history of 25 years of subsidised dysfunctionalism. An uplifting tale of battling demons, that reminds us that behind every band there is always a story of struggle for expression, acceptance and survival.

Gasparone

In the fantasy state of Olivia, the robber chief Gasparone is up to all sorts of mischief. But Prefect Nasoni is not only worried about him, his son Sindulfo is also causing him headaches. He is supposed to marry Countess Ambrat, but loves Ita, the niece of Massaccio, a somewhat obscure existence. Then the elegant Erminio appears, and the countess makes eyes at him. Confusion after confusion until Massaccio is unmasked as Gasparone. Erminio turns out to be a civil servant who was set on Gasparone and now gets his beautiful countess. Sindulfo is the last to embrace his Ita.

Drive-By Truckers: The Dirty South - Live at the 40-Watt

Now for the first time, the Drive-By Truckers release a live DVD. It captures the first two shows that kicked off The Dirty South tour, live from the 40 Watt in Athens, Georgia. The band's live shows have become legendary both for their length and power. The DVD includes many songs from The Dirty South album, as well as favorites from all of DBT's other records. It also includes backstage footage and interviews with the band. This DVD is a must have for all DBT fans. "Like our records, this is an artifact from a moment in time. Amateur Night
