A Canadian Mountie follows a fugitive to a small fur-trapping community. Most of the action is handled by Chinook, a handsome German Shepherd.

Benji

Benji is a stray who has nonetheless worked his way into the hearts of a number of the townspeople, who give him food and attention whenever he stops by. His particular favorites are a pair of children who feed and play with him against the wishes of their parents. When the children are kidnapped, however, the parents and the police are at a loss to find them. Only Benji can track them down, but will he be in time? If he can save the day, he may just find the permanent home he's been longing for.

Rinty is a police-dog assigned to a young Scotland Yard police-officer who covers the Limehouse district of London.

Jaws of Steel

Our doggy hero is abandoned in the desert while in pup-hood. Upon reaching maturity, Tin Tin has undeservedly earned the reputation as a killer canine. Thus, the human characters spend most of their time hunting down the dog in hopes of collecting a huge bounty.

Where the North Begins

A German Shepherd puppy is "adopted" by a wolf pack in the snowy and frozen Great North and raised by them as one of their own. A few years later he comes upon a fur trapper and saves the man from certain death, and begins to feel a kinship with him that is stronger than the one he has with his adopted pack.

A young boy goes to desperate lengths to save the family dog when his father agrees sell it to the local butcher.

An accident separates him from her, and he's drafted into K-9 duty in the trenches until battle fatigue takes its toll and he turns vicious. And even though he finds his way back home, he may be condemned as a killer.

The Million Dollar Collar

Bill Holmes rescues Rinty from a car wreck not realizing that there is a stolen $50,000 diamond necklace hidden in the dog's collar.

Frozen River

Canine star Rin Tin Tin makes his all-talking (all-barking?) debut in Warner Bros.' Frozen River. In characteristic fashion, Rinty braves the elements to rescue heroine Jane from the villains, a gang of cutthroats and thieves.

The Man Hunter

Rin-Tin-Tin leaves his usual far north and ranch settings for Africa.

Kazan

Kazan, a dog who reverts to the life of the wild when his master is killed, becomes docile when he develops a loyalty to a girl in distress.

Wolf's Trail

Heralded as a "Universal Thrill Feature," this minor outdoor melodrama starred Dynamite, one of canine phenomenon Rin Tin Tin's legion of imitators. Veteran actor Edmund Cobb headed the human cast as Captain Tom Grant, a Texas ranger impersonating an outlaw in order to infiltrate a gang of smugglers.

The Hound of Silver Creek

Molly White, the new schoolmistress at Silver Creek, makes the acquaintance of Jack Brooks, a wealthy eastern sportsman, when his pedigreed police dog, Dynamite, saves her from serious injury, and they become fast friends.

The Big Stunt is one of the Wolfheart hero dog Western series.

Pal, Canine Detective

Gary and his dog Pal are having fun working on make-believe crime cases, though Gary's father, a city detective, disapproves. Gary and Pal soon find themselves involved in a real case involving fur thieves.

Jed and his dog Lightning contend with the boy's abusive father.

Adventures of Rusty

Fearing that his recently-acquired step-mother, Ann Dennis, is competing with him for his father's affections, and saddened by the death of his dog, young Danny Mitchell seeks consolation in the companionship of a ferocious, Nazi-trained police dog, Rusty, brought to the U.S. by a returning WWII-veteran. The step-mother, with tender understanding, eventually wins Danny over while Danny pacifies his new dog.
