The Hypocrite

Backcountry Responsibility

The recent heavy workload faced by Teton County Search and Rescue crews last winter highlights the fact that some recreational users of the Bridger Teton National Forest are in critical need of more and better information regarding best practices and safe conduct on National Forest lands. Many of these incidents could potentially be avoided with proper planning and critical thinking in the backcountry. In partnership with Friends of Bridger-Teton, TGR presents Backcountry Responsibly, a digital film targeted at the growing number of winter backcountry users whose impact on the surrounding public lands has increased dramatically in recent years. Brain Dead And Having A Heart Attack

Think Thank's most mind numbing, heart stopping freestyle snowboard video ever! Brain Dead Heart Attack marked a decade of snowboard videos for Think Thank, which was always one of the goals when it started. The concept was that the Brain Dead side would feature the dudes who have been around awhile at least in Think Thank videos, some of whom were quite literally brain dead. Heart Attack side would be the launch pad precursor for the new faces who would go on to film for Think Thank Almanac. We were moving out of the brain and into the heart; the heart of a new era of Think Thank, a crew of friends snowboarding together and filming each other, much like how it started 10 years ago.

Nine Lives Would Not Do

One of the Columbia Valley's most accomplished legends, Leo Grillmair. The film tells the stories of his upbringing in Austria during the 1930s, up to the creation, with Hans Gmoser, of the Canadian Mountian Holidays, the world's first heli-skiing company.

Area 51

In the 1950’s the United States government restricted a 6 by 10 mile block of land somewhere north of Las Vegas. Although the government will not discuss this top secret facility, it has been consistently associated with UFO sightings and conspiracy stories. The reasons for the cover up of alien activity is unclear, but one thing is for sure, the government will do everything in their power to stop the public from knowing the truth. The most probable explanation is that mass panic would ensue if the public knew we were being visited by beings far superior to ourselves. In 1999, TGR exposes AREA 51, a 16mm jib flick that shows skiing’s new generation going bigger than ever and pulling the sickest tricks imaginable. Soul Flyers - The Movie

The Soul Flyers Team is composed of four friends, who deal with challenging situations with a natural instinct and a great sense of the air. Val, Claud, Zoune and Loic each have their own speciality, which they share with other Soul Flyers to achieve the ultimate in shear breath taking footage. In the expansive sand dunes of the Namibian desert, in Reunion islands intense nature and on the snow covered tracks of the Swiss Alps. The BASE sequences are even sharper and crazier, and Loic's amazing wingsuit flight. First, he refines his technique flying with the French canopy Relative work Team. Then he is ready for the most incredible human flight: on a snow covered dome in Verbier, witness his shadow testify to his proximity to the ground.....

Ski Peru!

Ski Peru is the story of two skiers’ dream of descending the untamed slopes of Huascaran, although maybe 'Ski Peru and die' would be a more appropriate title given the tragic climax to Peter Chrzanowski’s Peruvian odyssey. Filmed long before today’s adrenaline charged ski videos on heavy 16mm movie cameras there is no heavy rock soundtrack, no helicopters, no roboskiers mainlining powder at Mach 5.0. It is a slow moving film that explores man’s relationship with the mountain and what it is to ski into the unknown.
